The Voluntary Disclosure Program (VDP) has entered its 73rd day. This program started from January 1, 2022 – June 30, 2022. Based on information from the official website of the Directorate General of Taxes, as of today (14/03/22) at 08.00 WIB there are 22,448 Taxpayers participating in the program.
VDP is an opportunity for taxpayers to voluntarily report/disclose tax obligations that have not been fulfilled through the payment of income tax based on the amount of disclosed assets.
The Directorate General of Taxes has issued 25,283 Certificates. The net asset value reported by all VDP participants reached IDR 29.5 trillion, up 0.3 percent from the previous day of IDR 29.4 trillion.
Of the total assets disclosed by VDP participants, IDR 25.9 trillion or 87.9 percent of which are domestic declaration assets and repatriations. Then, 5.8 percent of the assets disclosed by VDP participants are foreign declarations.
The amount of investment in VDP was IDR 1.84 trillion, an increase of 0.9 percent from the previous day of IDR 1.82 trillion.
For information, there are 2 VDP tariff policies, namely:
Policy I
- 11% for Foreign declarations;
- 8% for repatriated Foreign assets and Domestic assets;
- 6% for repatriated foreign assets and domestic assets, which are invested in State Securities (Surat Berharga Negara or SBN)/ business activities in the natural resource processing sector (downstream) or renewable energy sector in the territory of the Republic of Indonesia.
Policy II
- 18% for foreign declarations;
- 14% for repatriated Foreign assets and Domestic assets;
- 12% for repatriated foreign assets and domestic assets, which are invested in State Securities (Surat Berharga Negara or SBN)/ business activities in the natural resource processing sector (downstream) or renewable energy sector in the territory of the Republic of Indonesia.
Through VDP, it is expected that the compliance of Taxpayers will increase in order to strengthen the country’s economy.
